For more than a decade, Sara has had the privilege of walking alongside people during some of the most painful and meaningful chapters of their lives. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker in New York State and a Registered Social Worker in Ontario. Her work is grounded, relational, and deeply respectful of the courage it takes to ask for support.

Sara specializes in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship and family conflict, burnout, compassion fatigue, and major life transitions. She supports individuals, couples, teens, families, and first responders. Her goal is to create a space that feels steady and welcoming, where clients can slow down, make sense of their experiences, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward meaningful change with clarity and confidence.

Her clinical approach integrates evidence-based modalities including EMDR, mindfulness-based practices, and somatic therapy. She believes healing happens when people feel seen, safe, understood, and not alone in the process. Therapy is not about fixing what is broken. It is about restoring connection, agency, and trust in oneself.

Before becoming a therapist, Sara spent several years as an ordained pastor. That work deeply shaped her ability to sit with people in their most vulnerable moments and strengthened her understanding of grief, identity, resilience, and the ways emotional wellness is shaped by culture, community, and belief systems. It also informs her respect for the complexity of people’s inner lives and the stories they carry.

Sara has extensive experience working with clients across diverse identities, including members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, refugees, and individuals navigating the intersections of family expectations, cultural values, and societal pressure. Creating an affirming, inclusive, and welcoming space is central to her practice.

She has a particular passion for supporting those in caregiving and helping professions, including healthcare workers, first responders, veterans, educators, therapists, and clergy. These are people who give deeply of themselves and often carry heavy emotional loads in silence. Her work honors both their strength and their need for care.

Sara’s goal is to help clients reconnect with their inner resilience, rebuild a sense of safety and self-trust, and move forward with hope, confidence, and renewed strength.

Best Regards,

Sara E. Campbell, M. Div, NYS L-MSW, Ontario RSW
